Must-Have Product: CAILYN Cosmetics Dizzolv’it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm

CAILYN Cosmetics Dizzolv'it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm | meowplease

I was new to the world of cleansing balms when I first received the CAILYN Cosmetics Dizzolv’it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm. Although I’ve strayed to branch out in the world of pre cleansing, I always come back to this one. I’ve repurchased this 3 times in the short time I’ve known about it, it’s that good.

I originally got this as a sample in my Birchbox and I’m not going to lie, I was nervous to try it. I had heard great things about pre cleansing and using oils and balms, but my breakout-prone skin was nervous! In the name of beauty, I went for it anyway (thankfully).

CAILYN Cosmetics Dizzolv’it Makeup Melt Cleansing Balm, $36

It comes with a small plastic “spoon” that you can use to dip into the pot to get the product without dirtying it with your fingers. Apply the odorless, pink balm to dry skin by rubbing it in circles on your face. This cleansing balm is similar to coconut oil in the way that it starts as an almost solid but transforms to an oil with the heat of your skin–it’s fun to use! It lives up to its name in that you can literally watch your makeup melt away. I start with my skin before moving onto to removing my eye makeup with whatever is left.

You can choose to use this as a pre cleanse and follow up with another cleanser, but I’m personally finished at this point. It rinses very clean and never makes my skin feel too oily afterwards. I use it right before I jump in the shower so it’s easy to rinse off.

I love that it doesn’t break me out, but what I love almost even more about it is that it never makes my skin feel too dry or tight–just perfectly clean and healthy. Based on it’s cosDNA score, it shouldn’t break you out either (but be careful if Olive Oil clogs your pores).

It lasts me a few months, and although the CAILYN Cosmetics Cleansing Balms price at $36 it isn’t exactly cheap, it’s a price I’m willing to pay for clean skin. There’s also a smaller size at $24 if you want to try it out, but it’s not as cost effective as the larger option.
