7 Little Known Beauty Products To Make You Prettier (Without Makeup)

It feels good to go out with no makeup and still feel pretty. Some girls are experienced at this—I am not one of them. Rarely do I leave my apartment without at least concealer, mascara, and eyebrow powder.

As much as I love makeup, my ultimate goal is to never feel like I need it. I put makeup on because it’s fun and and I want to enhance my features – not hide or change them. Skincare is a major part of this, because I think if your skin looks good, you will too.

I use these 7 beauty products that make me look better even without using makeup.

1. Clarins Glow Booster Drops

clarins Radiance-Plus Golden Glow Booster

Sephora, $30

Self tanning isn’t new, but this way of doing it is. Mix a few drops of Clarins Glow Booster Drops (they suggest 3) into your moisturizer or serum. I use it with Sebamed Clear Moisturizer at night. Whenever I use this, I wake up the next morning with a glow. It makes any day a good skin day.

2. Epilator

Braun Silk-épil 9 9-579

Amazon, $130

Epilators look like an electric razor but they work like tweezers and take out all your hair at the root. It’s scary at first and can hurt a little, but in my experience it’s totally and completely worth it. You can use it almost anywhere you want, but it’s especially useful on the face. It’s quick, doesn’t cause shaving stubble, and it makes your skin softer than exfoliating ever could. Plus, your makeup will go on so much smoother!

I use this Braun Silk-épil 9 epilator, which can be used in the shower, and has a light which prevents you from ever missing a hair.

3. Spearmint Tea

Amazon, $8

Amazon, $8

Tea isn’t typically a beauty product, but that’s what I use it for. Bye, bye hormonal acne! I’ve written a few posts about spearmint tea and how much I love it for reducing breakouts, and I highly suggest you read them if that’s something you struggle with. When I started drinking a cup nightly, I saw such a reduction in acne and a big improvement in my skin.

Go for organic, pure spearmint tea for the best results.

4. Innisfree It’s Real Kiwi Sheet Mask

Amazon, $16 for 10

Amazon, $16 for 10

These Innisfree sheet masks make you so dewy in the good kind of way. I use one at night about once a week when I have an hour to chill and watch TV, but they are also good to use before you put on makeup or go out to brighten and moisturize. I’ve only used the kiwi sheet mask because I love it so much, but there are about 12 other kinds to choose from. This was the blog post that convinced me to buy it, from Hello Giggles.

5. Mandelic Acid

Makeup Artist's Choice, $18

Makeup Artist’s Choice, $18

Mandelic Acid is another product that gives me a glow the next day. Compared to other acids, it’s less expensive and less harsh but just as effective. It lightens dark marks I have from acne, and helps control breakouts. It’s also way easy to use. Just rub it on your face like a toner and wash off a few minutes later.

6. Dermarolling

Yes, I’m suggesting you roll a bunch of needles all over your face. It doest hurt – the worst side effect is slightly red and raw skin. I use a dermaroller to heal acne scars, but it also claims to tighten skin, reduce pore size, and remove wrinkles. I can’t vouch for all of that, but if you have any scars on your face, this will work! Learn more about dermarolling in my post here.

7. Olaplex Hair Perfector No 3 Repairing Treatment

Amazon, $28

Amazon, $28

While I see Olaplex praised on beauty sites often, I don’t know anyone IRL who uses it. Though I heard Kim Kardashian uses it, and that’s good enough for me. Leave the product in your hair overnight and into the next day (hello top knot) for the best results.

Do you have any tips to make yourself feel prettier without makeup? Let me know, I want to hear them!
