Review: IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream

If you’ve done any research at all you know that the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream is the foundationest CC cream there ever was. It’s full coverage, buildable, and available in more shades that typical CC creams. But just like CC creams, it has benefits beyond covering blemishes.

Here are the claims behind this foundation:

– Full coverage without creasing or cracking
– SPG 50+ UVA/UVB broad-spectrum physical sunscreen
– Increases hydration, smoothes texture, and brightens skin
– Diminishes wrinkles and pores with its anti aging serum containing hydrolyzed collagen, peptides, niacin, hyaluronic acid, vitamins, and antioxidants

I’ve found all of its claims more or less true, although I haven’t been using it long enough or consistent enough to know about the skincare claims. Despite this, it’s not my number one foundation. I prefer not to wear this one in my everyday life if I’m dealing with any sort of breakout as it seems to accentuate the dry skin.

Instead, I use the IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream more like the perfect face sunscreen: it’s got the high SPF I need (SPF 50!!), the coverage I want, and the anti-aging and hydrating ingredients it contains are a big, big bonus. I love it for the beach or days when I’ll be outside. It doesn’t make you look like you’re wearing foundation so you won’t feel out of place wearing it poolside. And it’s texture and skin loving ingredients make me feel like it’s okay to wear when I’m sweating.

I’ve applied it with both a beauty blender and my fingers, and my hands win hands-down (hah). I never apply makeup using my fingers, but with this CC cream it gives me the best coverage.

I use IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better™ CC+™ Cream with SPF 50+ in shade Medium. Buy it for $38 (for 1.08 ounces) from Sephora.
